wouldn't it be nice...

i watched some podcasts today on youtube from switchfoot. (imagine that!) and i got thinking of all these bands who get to travel around in tight quarters, meeting all kinds of people, and strange places. how fun this must be! you go loopy at some points and just have the most fun! also, thinking about making movies.. people who get to make like a series of movies.. like Lord of the Rings, Narnia, Twilight, and Harry Potter (note: these are examples, not my personal preferences) you work together all day, you hang out after work doing fun things because your usually in fun locations... is so fun and bonding and like making a new family of sorts.

i miss being a part of these kinds of things. no, not a band or a movie, but like putting on plays or working at camp! such interesting times! i suppose opportunities like these will come about again. and i can't wait!

oh brother.

okay, so i hate to give ANY celebrity commentary on my blog because i find it silly to be honest but i have a thought for this whole taylor swift- being-interrupted-by-kanye-west (who my professor called carlie today) business. (yes, i admit to watching those stupid award shows for an hour and half.... part of my life i'll never get back)Here is this cute little 19 year old accepting her first award from this particular venue, and, well, you heard. to mr. west, didn't your mama teach you to think before you act? is this not like the fifth time you have had to apologize for irrational rash action? actions speak louder then words. learn self control.

that is all.

allysa

this sweet little girl is my cousin rick and his wife jen's girl. she looks JUST LIKE rick when he was a baby. and i think she looks a bit like me when i was a tot. (this is what my girls will look like) she is very friendly, and SMART. she watched me click through my camera for five seconds, then grabbed hold and looked through the pictures herself, identify, daddy! pop-pop! unka mike! mommy! mom-mom! she is just so adorable! she partied with us until the polka (at 10!) then she finally crashed. so dear.

silly tradition

don't you just love the older woman out there? too bad she didn't catch it. i was rooting for her.
so my cousin's boyfriend caught the garter, and they blindfolded him. michael sat down right next to the girl who caught the boquet, and rolled his pants up. he pulled up this hose and stuck his leg out. we were all rolling on the floor.

because my family polkas...

yup.. we ARE Polish! what do you expect? every wedding my family has had, we polka-ed. let me tell you my friend, it may appear easy, but that is a work out! bouncing around on the floor twirling around... oh bless. that is my aunt bonnie and my cousin amanda, my mom with my cousin rick, and my uncle rick with his granddaughter alyssa.

the night was ended spendidlywith arms around one another shoulders, in a large circle, belting, and i do mean belting, "don't stop believin' " by journey. thats just how we roll. it was a fantastic wedding!
